A survey by NetBenefit has found that 42% of businesses believe that an increase in their company's web presence is the way to survive the current Credit Crunch.

A survey carried out by NetBenefit has found that businesses are turning to the internet to survive the Credit Crunch. 75% of their respondents already have at least half of their business online, and 80% plan move more of their business online within the next 12 months.

Almost half of the businesses surveyed believe that by increasing their online presence, they will have a better chance of beating the recession.

This growing confidence that businesses have in the internet, has been supported by several previous surveys and online retail results from the run-up to Christmas: while shopping is slowing on the high street, consumers are turning on their computers in the hope of finding a bargain online. Google has reported huge surges in the number of searches done for money-saving vouchers, special offers and cheap entertainment.*

The IMRG Capgemini Index, which tracks sales completed through interactive channels, reached an all time high in November with a 25.7% increase from October sales. They estimate that the actual spend for the month will have reached 4.74 billion pounds.
